Stefan Znosko's work investigates the impact of photography on our recollection of the past, while exploring the limitless possibilities of the future. He seeks out locations that teem with possible narratives, often ones with personal historical connections. He lets the environments he photographs speak on their own, occasionally he includes components to guide the viewer towards a specific path with an uncertain destination. Stefan's work invites the viewer to interpret the meaning of his work and seeks to inspire an experience unique to each viewer. Znosko's photographic work relies heavily on the image as it was captured with a minimal amount of post-production. Recently Stefan's work has been investigating the prevalence of manipulation in mainstream photography. Stefan Znosko teaches photography at Quinnipiac University as well as several Connecticut colleges, while maintaining an active career as an artist.

Manifesto-ish.com AIR Projects seek to create a unique artistic environment, an experience tailor-made for digital viewing. It is not meant to simply bring news of copies of original objects. The work created here is about, of and by the digital world. The materials are the networks, apps, data, and connections that underlie the internet. This site is a firsthand experience with nothing lost in its function, only gained. If you are interested in being an Online Artist in Residence, click here.
